Blaauwberg Large Stock Auction, Omaruru Friday 12 August
450 cattle (weaners, tollies, heifers) were auctioned at Omaruru by Blaauberg Auctioneers. All animals were sold at record prices. Weaners were sold for up to N$4000/weaner.

DEES Management Meeting
The directorate of Extension and Engineering Services held their quarterly Management Meeting at Sesriem in the Namib Desert from 26 to 28 July 2011.

Erongo Regional Feedback Visit 2 to 4 August 2011
The Omaruru DEES management team (Renier Burger, Nekwaya Leevi, Herta Kapoppo and Abraham Christiaan) visited Omatjette, Okombahe, Uis, and Otjimbingwe Agri Development Centre's (ADC's) in Erongo for feedback on the visit during June (6 to 10 June). Issues regarding maintenance, procurement, staff inquiries, security services, vehicle repairs etc were on the feedback list.
In the pictures below: Handing over of a new fax/scan/copy/print machine for Omatjette ADC. Mr. Tsamaseb demonstrate to Mrs Amakali the correct way to make a trench for small vegetable gardens.
