A meeting on Conservation Agriculture (CA) was held at the Lalapanzi resort outside Grootfontein on the 16th of November 2011. The meeting was attended by staff members from the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry (MAWF) and members of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations (UN) including Dr. Theodor Friedrich, Mr. Martin Ager and Mr. Jan Venema.
Following a request from the MAWF of Namibia, the FAO proposed the the development of a Comprehensive Programme for Concervation Agriculture in Namibia (CCAPN). This proposed CCAPN was deliberated during the meeting. The final proposal will be announced at a later stage.
