The 4th National Development Program (NDP IV) as vehicle to reach the national goals of Vision 2030 iscurrently discussed. This program will be for the 5year period from 2013 – 2017 and is drafted under the guidance of the National Planning Commission.
This week a workshop was held in Windhoek where the focus was mainly on –
·         The structure of the 4th National Development Plan
·         The aims and strategies to execute the Plan and
·         An enabling business environment
The sectors which were discussed were education, industrial development and tourism. Furthermore the implementing strategies as well as the monitoring and evaluationprocess were emphasized in order to determine whether progress was made.
The National Planning Commission now consults with experts in the different sectors in order to get inputs from as much as possible people to draft and implement the Plan successfully.
NATIS has problems with the issuing of license renewal notices
NATIS has informed that since the beginning of the year they experience technical problems with their computers with the issuing of license renewal notices. Thus currently no license renewal notices are issued. NATIS will try and solve the problem as soon as possible.
If your license expires in this period, you will have to take a copy of your ID and also bring the previous license paper along to have the vehicle registration number as well as the license number available to fill in the form to get your license.
