Valuation Court postponed until Monday, September 2, 2013 at 10:00
The proceedings of the Valuation Court which should have started today at August 30, 2013 at 10:00 were postponed until Monday, September 2, 2013. The main reason for the postponement is the absence of the Director of Research and Training, Mr Ipinge from the Ministry of Agriculture, Water & Forestry who, as a member of the Valuation Court, should have been present.

Due to the postponement of the Court proceedings, the presiding official, Magistrate Hengura could not give an indication about the procedure which will be followed during the session of the Valuation Court. She however gave an indication that she will announce the procedures on Monday.

A strong team of legal representatives, comprising of at least 8 Advocates and numerous instructing Attorneys were present during the first failed session of the Valuation Court. The legal representatives clearly expressed their discontent about the postponement of the Valuation Court and also strongly argumented about the cost implication of this postponement. A farmer of Grootfontein who represents himself, in no unclear language expressed his discontent and the cost implications which this postponement of the Court means to him as an individual.
