| Grazing in Erongo during February |
The inland areas of Erongo region has received less than 100 mm of rain during the current rainy season (2012/13). Omatjette and Uis face a severe drought as they received very little rain last year. Almost no rain was recorded during February.
Farmers are advised to prepare themselves for the worst. Buy sufficient fodder (grass bales) while the prices are still low. Get unproductive animals ready for market while there is still some grazing available....
