Re-shuffle of Permanent Secretaries
The Prime Minister has announced that the following Permanent Secretaries will be re-shuffled as from June 1, 2012:
Mr Andrew Ndishishiof the Ministry of Agriculture, Water & Forestry will move to the Ministry of Health and Social Services
Mr Joseph Iitaof the Ministry of Mines and Energy will move to the Ministry of Agriculture, Water & Forestry
Mr Kahijoro Kahuureof the Ministry of Health and Social Services will move to the Ministry of Mines and Energy
Dr NdeutalaAngoloof the Office of the President will move to the Ministry of Safety and Security

 NCA (Northern Communal Areas) levies terminated
The special NCA levies which were imposed in terms of Government Gazette No 119 of July 2, 2007, were terminated on May 31, 2012. The levies were respectively N$16,45 per head of large stock and N$3,29 per head of small stock. For any further enquiries, please contact the Finance Dept of the Meat Board at Tel 061 275834/5/7/9.
Meat Board levies decrease
The Meat Board has announced that as from June 1, 2012 the Meat Board levies will decrease from 0,8% to 0,6% on livestock exported and slaughtered locally and from 0,8% to 0,5% on livestock traded domestically. For further details contact Mr P J Strydom, Tel 061 275833, pjstrydom@nammic.com.na.
 Immunisation campaign
The Ministry of Health has announced that an immunisation campaign will be held in the Erongo region. The first round will be from June 5 – 7 and will be against Polio (0 – 59 months), Vitamin A (6 – 59 months), deworming (1 – 15 years) and measles (9 months – 15 years). The second round will be from July 10 – 12 and will be against Polio. Immunisations will be done at the following points: Usakos: OuHakaseb Clinic, Usakos State Hospital, Bo-Drop (Lisema Kindergarten), Dr van Zyl’s Kindergarten, New Hakhased Clinic, Bahnhof Hotel. Karibib: Dr Sam Nujoma Health Centre, ELCIN Church (Usab), BlikkiesDorp, Pep Stores, Otjimbingwe Clinic, Spitskoppe Clinic, Tubusis Clinic. Outreach: Ubib Route, Karibib Route 1, 2, 3, Otjimbingwe Route 1, 2, Spitskoppe Route, Tubisis Route. Omaruru: Entertainment Centre, Hakahana Kindergarten, Ozondje Hospital, Omaruru Take Away, Outreach (3), Mobil Unit. Omatjete: Omatjete Clinic, Outreach Team (2), Mobile Team (2) (1).  AEA Congress

NMC will hold AGM

NAMMED will hold AGM

SWAKARA SNOK courses
The next SWAKARA SNOK course will be held from June 12 – 14, 2012 at the Gellap East Research Farm, Keetmanshoop: 12 June: lamb description, photo judging and breeding and ram selection, electrical shearing demonstration, Herd Master norms / policy and for the workers: stunner, finnishing off lambs, slaughtering and splinting of pelts and an electric shearing demonstration. On June 13: rangeland management, strategic feeding, animal health and a practical rangeland session in the field. On June 14: estates and testaments, pelts analytical register and theory of pelts sorting, pelts sorting. The courses are from 08:00 – 16:00 and are only for current pelts producers.  SWAKARA is celebrating its 105th anniversary. These festivities will be held on June 28 at 18:30 at Jaguar Land Rover, Novel Motor Company, 444 Independence Ave, Windhoek. Costs for the fashion parade and cocktails are N$250 per person and costs for the fashion parade and dinner is N$500 per person.  The Santa Gertrudis Breeders Association of Namibia is offering a two-day judging course on 4 & 5 July on the farms of Mr Andre Boehmcker and MrImmoWilckens.
