Another investment by Agra was celebrated on Friday 29
June, with the opening of the new Agra Okahandja retail store, which was moved
to a larger building on the opposite side of the existing Agra branch. Lots of
specials and a radio outside broadcast resulted in the new, much larger and
totally revamped Agra Okahandja Retail Branch being a beehive of activity and
trolleys overflowing with the opening specials. A number of customers’ shopping
to a certain amount had them walking away with free gifts and hampers.
A reception for invited guests and the unveiling of the
plaque by Agra’s CEO, Peter Kazmaier ended the official opening day on a high
note.
At the opening function Kazmaier said that Agra is very
excited about Agra members’ approval of the request
by the executive committee of Agra, to increase Agra’s funding facilities to
N$450 million. He shared Agra’s development plans for which the facilities will
be used, being amongst others the construction of an Agra branch at Oshivelo:
the relocation of the Windhoek Agra branch, and a major upgrade and expansion
of the Auas Valley Shopping Mall.

He also shared Agra’s purpose, which is to
create prosperity and improve the quality of life by contributing towards the socio-economic
quality of life; caring for the environment; creating conditions for people to
succeed and building innovative and sustainable businesses.
In the 5-Day-Madness promotion, five clients who spent a
minimum of N$2 500 at Agra Okahandja won Agra vouchers of N$3 000 each. Until
the final draw on 27 July, clients who buy for N$500 or more at this store,
stand a chance to win big prizes – the grand prize to be drawn on 27 July is a
Sony Bravia 40” television.
