The Farmers Information Day held at Tubusis in the greater Spitzkoppe area was organized by Mr. //Goagoseb, Senior Agriculture Extension Technician at the Spitzkoppe Agriculture Development Center (ADC). A total of 120 farmers from Tubusis area attended the event. Dr. L. Van Der Waal (state veterinarian, Omaruru) gave an interesting presentation on relevant animal health issues in the area while Jaco from the Agra Pelt Center discussed finer issues regarding Karakul farming. Ms. Utile from the new Forestry office in Omaruru informed farmers on relevant Forestry legislation.
A practical session included a demonstration on the vaccination of lambs against pastuerella
